Well folks... Some of you who were around between 1984 and 1986 will remember that I started each memo to WECB staff like this: TO: WECB Staff FROM: Russell Karl Weisenbacher- Operations Manager Etc... Etc... Etc... I can't believe that I used my full name!! Man... too many letters and LOTS of wasted space. And of course, "back in the day" I used a typewriter to type all the memos. No shortcut macros for me!! Of course if you are asking, "what's a typewriter?" then you are WAY too young and need to visit the Disney page. I think it's a very great thing that Greg Weremey has taken lots of time and effort to create the WECB Alumni Reunion Recollection Web Site Page thing that he did. He has way more patience that I would ever have to create a web site. It's really great to see everyone contributing so many things. I know that I had some stuff and Greg had some stuff. But, when you realize that ALL of us had different stuff that we all kept and now can combine, it's a great thing. We can REALLY see what our 4 short years at WECB were like. I just keep thinking that if the technology we have now (digital cameras especially) was available back when we were at WECB, we could have not only created a bunch of even better stuff than we did create, but we would have probably had a zillion more pictures, videos, etc. Then again... take a moment to just THINK about what we *DID* create with the stuff we had!! Look at all the production guys who spent HOURS upon HOURS finding song cues on RECORDS and then recording them on Reel-to-Reel tape to then CUT the tape into tiny bits to assemble into a music/sound bed. Go to any new radio station and ask them to do what we did and they'd look at us like we had five heads!!! "Cut? What do you mean cut?... Grease pencil? What the heck is a grease pencil?.... What do you mean you mark the tape by writing on it?..." So, I for one, will be visiting this site frequently to see what the past unfolds. As for my current whereabouts... I'm working in the field of education. I've been teaching English, Communications, and Theater for the past 18 years. Now I'm interviewing at various schools for an Assistant Principal position. Wish me luck!! LOL Oh.. here's my email: rweisenw@optonline.net ~~~ Russ Weisenbacher

Hey!! I had a little get together with Greg & Russ last night. We had a little impromptu BBQ at my house. It was really great seeing those guys again. Let me assure you that after not seeing either of them for 18 to 19 years, they have changed very little – maybe a bit more mature, but then again maybe not, or maybe only 1 of them (I’ll leave it up to you to figure out which one) – anyway, we had a great time reminiscing as well as talking about our present lives. My husband, Jim, seemed to fit right in & my boys were definitely in “show-off” mode trying to impress “Uncle Greggy” & “Uncle Russ” – especially since they were informed that Russ is now a high school principal!! Russ said next time he will bring his wife & kids to visit & swim in our pool. I hope he does – I’d hate to wait another 18 years!! Greg wants to have some kind of WECB reunion – which may not be feasible since we are all so spread out, but if there is a way, believe me, Greg will make it happen. It was so great to see both of them after all these years & kind of makes me regret having lost touch in the first place. These are great guys – we all really had quite a special connection back then & it is fantastic to recapture it. Thanks again, Greg for the website. Hope to see you guys again, soon – maybe a few of you others out there as well! I understand they recently got together with “Jumpin’” James Simon after many years also.
